SIMtember 2016

Pool on the first floor.
Pool on the ground floor.
It's nowhere near done, but it's slowly taking shape.
The first floor pool as seen from the top. You can also look into the pool from the living room below.
I've created a house called Futuristic Mid-Century Modern way back in 2013, right after The Sims 3: Into the Future released. It was one of my most liked houses, and it made sense, because I spent many days working on it. I tried to build a water house today, but none of the ideas I tried really worked. I remembered I was planning to recreate my old Futuristic Mid-Century Modern house in The Sims 4 at some point. And more importantly, it had a couple of pools on several floors, making it a perfect water house. Now I'm not at all done with this, because, well, it's a massive project to be honest. And I won't make everything the same. In fact I've already changed a number of things cause I liked it better that way. But I think this will be another great house when it's finally done. Until then, enjoy these work-in-progress screenshots for today's SIMtember prompt!
Here's Mollie Moonbeam again. She's living in the woods in Windenburg. Here she is gardening in a couple of planter boxes I specifically created for her (and future Berry Sims). Mollie loves being outdoors, so gardening is a perfect activity for her!
Today's SIMtember prompt is matching outfits. Now I didn't want to have my Sims all wear the same thing. But it had to match in one way or another. Then I remembered I created these Star Wars shirts for all ages last year, and I figured that's a decent match as well, don't you think? Here's my simself Rosie dancing the night away in her backyard with her family. Everyone's wearing Star Wars shirts in the same style.
For today's prompt I decided to use some screenshots from my The Sims 3 game. I recently tweeted this photo as well. This is my simself in The Sims 3, and my online and real life friend Greg from SimCookie. Here we are living in an apartment in Belmont, the world we created back in 2013. I had a great time working on this world with Greg. We've met many times, thanks to The Sims. So I think this is a great memory!
To be honest, besides working on skills, my Sim doesn't have a lot of hobbies. I usually put my Sims to work in the game. Literally, by sending them off to work. When they're not at work, they're usually improving their skills. And I don't usually take pictures of that, because it's boring haha. Luckily some time ago I did snap a few screenshots when we had the Triple Boost Week. I know we can cheat and all, but I thought it would be fun to let my Sims skill and earn skill points without cheating, and three times as fast! When my own Sim isn't reading/skilling, she's painting. I should take some screenshots of that!
